Welcome to Employment Services Unit (TaESA)

I. Introduction

Employment Services Unit is established under The Prime Minister’s Officer Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disability to provide employment services in the country.   The terms of Services sets grounds that are to be followed by persons registering with this Portal

II.    Services we provide 

(i)    Jobseekers registration: Includes registration and keeping records of jobseekers; 
(ii)    Job development: Visiting or contacting local and cross border employers to register job and internship opportunities;
(iii)    Local placement: includes 
•    Employment Counselling: Provided to both jobseekers and employers regardless of their economic status;
•    Career and vocational guidance: This service is offered to help  job seekers to develop and accept an integrated and adequate picture of themselves and their role in the world of work;
•    Job search training workshops: aimed  to equip jobseekers with skills on where and how to search for jobs, preparing CVs and cover letters, how to appear in interviews and; and how to answer tough and technical interview questions;
•    job matching: matching jobseeker’s skills with employers’ job requirements; 
•    Undertaking preliminary interviewing, selection, pre-placement trainings and referral of jobseekers to relevant employment opportunities in the local labour market;  

(iv)    Cross boarder placement: Sourcing and securing employment opportunities for Tanzanians abroad; facilitating recruitment of qualified Tanzanians working or studying abroad to fill in skills and rare professions gap in Tanzania; and approval of employment contracts for employment abroad;
(v)    Provisions of Basic Labour Market Information: on  job vacancies available in the labour market; skills and qualifications possessed by jobseekers and other employment details; information from educational and training institutions in relation to labour market requirements; skills required in the labour market; occupations that are highly demanded in the labour market and rare skills in the labour market;
(vi)    Consultancy services on employment and recruitment related services.

III.    Who can use our Portal 

The users of this portal are both Public and Private Sector entities and individuals. Public institutions users includes: (TaESA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs/Tanzania Embassies Abroad; Ministry of Home Affairs; Police Force and other security organization) while Private Sector users includes: Jobseekers; Employers; Private Employment Services Agencies (Local and Foreigners).
 

IV.    What to share/do in this portal  

(a)    Names of jobseekers that are officially registered and matches with academic certificates, birth certificate, mobile phone numbers and NIDA;
(b)    Accurate information about yourself and other details required to share;
(c)    Accurate information about the employer, job and internship opportunities orders;
(d)    Create only one account (your own) and use your timeline for personal purposes; and

V.    General Provisions 

(a)    Write to Update our Terms: We work constantly to improve our services and develop new features to make our Products better for you and our community. As a result, we may need to update these Terms from time to time to accurately reflect our services and practices. We  reserve the rights to make changes at any time if the provisions are no longer appropriate or if they are incomplete, and only if the changes are reasonable and take due account of your interests. We will notify you (for example, by email or through our Products) once the changes are effected into the system and give you an opportunity to review and subscribe to the new Terms. Once any updated Terms are in effect, they will bind you if you continue to use our Products.

(b)    Account suspension or termination: We want our portal to be a place where users feel welcome and safe for their job searching, matching and other employment services provided. If we determine that you have clearly, seriously or repeatedly breached our Terms or Policies, including in particular our Community Standards, we may suspend or permanently disable access to your account. We may also suspend or disable your account if you repeatedly infringe other people's intellectual property rights or where we are required to do so for legal reasons.

Where we take such action, we'll let you know and explain any options you have to request a review, unless doing so may expose us or others to legal liability; harm our community of users; compromise or interfere with the integrity or operation of any of our services, systems or Products; or where we are restricted due to technical limitations; or where we are prohibited from doing so for legal reasons.

You can visit TaESA to learn more about what you can do if your account has been disabled and how to contact us if you think that we have disabled your account by mistake. If we disable your account, these Terms shall terminate as an agreement between you and us.

(c)    Limits on liability: We work hard to our best level and available technical know how to provide the best Products we can and to specify clear guidelines for everyone who uses them. Our Products, however, are provided "as is", and we make no guarantees that they will always be safe, secure or error-free, or that they will function without disruptions, delays or imperfections. To the extent permitted by law, we also DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not control or direct what people and others do or say, and we are not responsible for their actions or conduct (whether online or offline) or any content that they share (including offensive, inappropriate, obscene, unlawful and other objectionable content).

We cannot predict when issues may arise with our Products. Accordingly, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and under no circumstances will we be liable to you for any lost profits, revenues, information or data, or consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive or incidental damages arising out of or related to these Terms, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
 
(d)    Write to change username for your account: You should know that we may need to change the username for your account in certain circumstances (for example, if someone else claims the username and it appears unrelated to the name that you use in everyday life). We will inform you in advance if we have to do this and explain why


(e)    Disputes: We try to provide clear rules so that we can limit or hopefully avoid disputes between you and us. If a dispute does arise, however, it's useful to know up front where it can be resolved and what laws will apply.

If you are a consumer, the laws of the country in which you reside will apply to any claim, cause of action or dispute that you have against us that arises out of or relates to these Terms or the TaESA Portal Products, and you may resolve your claim in any competent court in that country that has jurisdiction over the claim. In all other cases, you agree that the claim must be resolved exclusively in a Court located in Tanzania. You also agree that you submit to the personal jurisdiction of either of these courts for the purpose of litigating any such claim, and that the laws of the Tanzania will govern these Terms and any claim, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

If any portion of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining portion will remain in full force and effect. If we fail to enforce any of these Terms, it will not be considered a waiver. Any amendment to or waiver of these Terms must be made in writing and signed by us.

VI.    What you cannot share or do  

(a)    Information that breaches these Terms and Policies that apply to your use of TaESA Portal.
(b)    Unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or fraudulent information.
(c)    That infringes or violates someone else's rights, including their intellectual property rights.
(d)    Information that are  classified as unlawful under Tanzania’s cybercrime laws and other national laws 
(e)    You may not upload viruses or malicious code, or do anything that could disable, overburden or impair the proper working or appearance of our Products.
(f)    You may not access or collect data from our products using automated means (without our prior permission) or attempt to access data that you do not have permission to access.
(g)    You will not transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else without our consent
(h)    Not share your password, give access to your TaESA Portal account to others or transfer your account to anyone else (without our permission).

VII.    We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.
